Description
Description
Multiparametric test K-2006 of the Taylor brand, for the determination of various chemical levels of the water, very appropriate for the care of pools of any size.
This analyzer kit is especially indicated for when a very precise measurement of the level of free chlorine is necessary, since the determination of said level is carried out with the DPD-FAS method, with which it is not necessary to make a visual comparison of color with the scale. of the test tube.
A DPD - FAS titration is easy to perform. A buffered DPD indicator powder is added to a water sample and reacts with chlorine to produce the characteristic pink color of the standard DPD test. Ferrous ammonium sulfate (FAS) is then added dropwise until the pink color completely and permanently disappears, indicating the end point of the reaction. To obtain the reading, the number of drops used to cause this color change is multiplied by the appropriate factor for the size of the water sample (supplied by the manufacturer).
The test stands out for the high quality of its reagents, which translates into greater reliability of results, with the levels shown being much more precise.
With the Taylor K-2006 analyzer we can determine the following water parameters:
Parameter | measurement scale | Reagent | ![]() |
Free chlorine | 0.5 - 5.0ppm | R-0870 + R0871
combined chlorine | 0.5 - 5.0ppm | R-0870 + R0871 + R0003
pH | 6.8 - 8.2 | R-0004 | |
acid demand | R-0005 | ||
basic demand | R-0006 | ||
Alkalinity | 1 drop = 10ppm | R-0007 + R0008 + R0009
calcium hardness | 1 drop = 10ppm | R-0010 + R0011L + R0012
cyanuric acid | 30 - 100ppm | R-0013 |
