Descrição

The K-2105 water analyzer kit will analyze all the parameters of your pool water, such as:

  • Free chlorine.
  • full chlorine.
  • Bromine (liquid DPD).
  • pH.
  • Acid demand.
  • Basic demand.
  • full alkalinity.
  • Calcium hardness.
  • Cyanuric acid.

It has three types of methods to proceed to analyze the water in your pool

  • The chlorimetry has a visual comparator of chlorine/bromine/pH.
  • With the drop test you can analyze the alkalinity / calcium hardness.
  • Visual measurement of cyanuric acid turbidity.

Below we detail the instructions for use with all the recommended parameters:

Chlorine Analysis (Free, combined and total)

1- First, rinse and fill the small bucket of the comparator with the water to be analyzed up to the 9 ml mark.

2- Later add 5 drops of R-0001 and 5 drops of R-0002. Cover and invert to mix.

3- Compare the color with the CL* standard colors. The result is parts per million (ppm) of free chlorine (LC).

4- Add 5 drops of R-0003 and again cover and invert to mix.

5- Compare the color immediately, the result is ppm of total chlorine (TC).

6- Subtract the free chlorine from the total chlorine, the total result obtained is ppm of combined chlorine (CC). Formula: CT-CL=CC.

Total bromine analysis

1- First, rinse and fill the small bucket of the comparator with the water to be analyzed up to the 9 ml mark.

2- Later add 5 drops of R-0001 and 5 drops of R-0002. Cover and invert to mix.

3- Compare the color with the standard colors of Br*. The result obtained is parts per million (ppm) of total bromine.

* If the color is outside the values on the scale, you must repeat the analysis making a dilution with 4.5 mL of distilled or deionized water up to the 9 mL mark. Multiply the reading by 2 to obtain the approximate value for both chlorine and bromine. If the color is still out of scale, you will have to repeat the analysis by making a dilution with 1.8 mL of distilled water up to the 9 mL mark. Multiply the reading by 5 again to obtain the approximate value of chlorine or bromine.

pH analysis

1- First rinse and fill the pH cuvette up to the 44 mL mark with the water to be analyzed.

2- Later add 5 drops of R-0004. Cover and invert to mix.

3- Compare the color with the values of the pattern to later write down the result as pH units. If the color is between two values, the pH is the average of the two, to lower the pH you will first have to see the Acid demand test. To raise the pH you will first have to see the Base demand test.

Acid Demand Test

1- Use the treated sample of the pH test.

2- Add R-0005 drop by drop, mixing after each drop until the desired pH is reached. Always looking at the treatment table.

Base demand test

1- Use the treated sample of the pH test.

2- Add R-0006 drop by drop, mixing after each drop until the desired pH is reached. Always looking at the treatment table.

Total Alkalinity Analysis

1- First, rinse and fill the large comparator cuvette up to the 25 mL mark with the water to be analyzed.

2- Later add 2 drops 2 drops of R-0007 (shake to mix) and another 5 drops of R-0008 (shake to mix). The sample will turn green.

3- Add R-0009 drop by drop, mixing and counting after each drop, until the color changes from green to red.

4- Multiply by 10 the number of drops added in step 4. Express the result as ppm of total alkalinity as calcium carbonate.

Calcium Hardness Analysis

1- First, rinse and fill the large comparator cuvette up to the 25 mL mark with the water to be analyzed.

2- Later add 20 drops of R-0010, then close and shake until mixed.

3- Add 5 drops of R-011L, then close and shake until mixed. The mixture will turn reddish in color.

4- Add R-0012 drop by drop, mixing after each drop until the red color turns completely blue. Always count the drops added. Always keep the bottle upright when adding reagents.

5- Multiply the number of drops of the device 4 by 10, thus obtaining the Calcium Hardness expressed in ppm (part per million or gr/m3) as calcium carbon.

Cyanuric acid analysis

1- First fill the bottle (9191) up to the 7 mL mark with the water to be analyzed.
