Kit to replace two electrodes in Sugar Valley ionization equipment.
These electrodes are made of an alloy of copper and silver.
Ionization equipment allows for a very considerable saving of chemical in the pool.
The operation of these is very simple, an electric current is passed through the electrodes, which causes ions of Cu (copper) and Ag (silver) to be released, these are positively charged in the pool water, their positive charge allows them to join the negative sites in the cell walls of bacteria and viruses denaturing their proteins and thus eliminating them.
When replacing your electrodes it is very important to check the condition of the fastening nuts as these can be affected by wear just like the electrodes. Replace them if necessary.
