The FTK -101 free chlorine, total chlorine and pH test is a field test kit, indicated for carrying out analyzes of both free or total chlorine and total pH of water using the colorimetry method with visual comparator, reagents in tablets.

Its scale is: 0.1, 0.3, 0.6, 1.0, 1.5, 2.0, 3.0 ppm of chlorine.

6.8, 7.0, 7.2, 7.4, 7.6, 7.8, 8.2 pH units.

With the reagents supplied in the test you can perform 20 measurements of each of the values.


INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE:

Chlorine analysis (free, combined and total).

  1. Clean and fill the cuvette corresponding to the chlorine of the comparator up to the mark with the water to be analyzed.
  2. Add 1 DPD 1 Rapid tablet. Cover and mix.
  3. Compare the resulting color with the standard colors. Record the result as ppm of free chlorine.
  4. Add 1 DPD 3 Rapid tablet. Cover and mix.
  5. Compare the resulting color with the standard colors. Record the result as ppm of combined chlorine.

pH analysis.

  1. Clean and fill the cuvette corresponding to the pH of the comparator up to the mark with the water to be analyzed.
  2. Add 1 Phenol Red tablet. Cap and mix.
  3. Compare the resulting color with the standard colors. Record the result as pH units.

Keep the kit and its reagents in a cool, dry place, away from extreme temperatures.

Use the reagents before the expiration date marked on the blister.

DPD reagents are white in color, do not use them if they have a different coloration.
